Electric Shadows presents a short film programme at Space for Imagination on the first Sunday of every month. Showcasing the finest short works from around the world, each month features an eclectic mix of films that challenge the conventional labels of documentary and fiction and blur the lines between narrative and experimental film, attempting to find new ways of looking at the world while stimulating, provoking and inspiring the audience.

Neeranakallu in English means stone made of water. The film was shot in the city of Bangalore (India), at its largest Dhobi Ghat in Malleshwaram. The film shuffles between the boundaries of non fiction and documentary as it explores the space from the point of view of the masses that collect there: clothes. It is a visual exploration of a space that celebrates never-ending possibilities and appeal.

Angelmakers is an observational portrait of the sleepy village of Nagyrev in rural Hungary. We meet its inhabitants, who, whilst showing us their daily lives, gradually reveal the part the village played in the so-called 'arsenic murders' of 1929, when a large group of women were held responsible for poisoning their husbands. An intriguing web of stories unfolds through the characters' memories which recapture old but ever-lasting tales of life, death and the struggle between the sexes. A fascinating insight into both the past and present and the ongoing saga of male and female relationships.
