光用看图就很明显了吧
近年王家卫在西方世界里热度未退，Fortissimo公司出资修复了《东邪西毒》，包装成终极版的形式重新在全球范围内上映。
剧情方面王家卫做了一些小调整，例如用字幕打出惊蛰等节气名称。开头和结尾都有较大的变动，从原版的倒叙变成了正叙。片头打字幕是以浓墨散化，结尾是流沙黄底。删掉“很多年后，我有一个绰号叫西毒”的倒叙旁白和一些东邪西毒的打斗场面，增加了天气和景物的空镜以及张国荣、梁朝伟的一些特写画面，镜头的剪辑顺序也发生了变化。而最直观的莫过于点题的《天地孤影任我行》被拿掉，少了灵气与魂魄。
起到辅助功能与渲染情绪的旁白被移去不少，林青霞仰天长啸等画面也被切掉。一些不重要的小角色也做了调整，不过主体未动。对于不曾看过《东邪西毒》的观众来说，终极版的整体讲述反而要来得流畅紧凑一些（尤其对于西方观众）。
人们都清楚影片的超级豪华阵容无法重演，终极版的出现更多是提供一次追忆的机会。剧中的痴男怨女依然孤独，纠结难解。过去的十几年化为时间的灰烬，真应了当初的终曲：世事苍茫成云烟。
■ 音色差别
对比原版，终极版的明显变化来自两个方面，色彩和配乐。1994年的原版较暗，尽显大漠的苍凉萧瑟。新版经过重新调色修复，清晰明亮，黄色的沙、鲜红的血。由冷到暖，光从预告片和海报图像上就能感觉艳丽许多。配乐上，陈勋奇为电影打造的原声被推为极品，王家卫不顾这些，拉上马友友和他的大提琴，圆了一次合作梦，另外还新增了一些音乐编曲，出现在开头与结尾。新版的配乐变化可能会令许多王家卫迷感到不适，比如桃花身倚马背、洪七力战马贼等段落，与原版相比完全变了个味。【新京报】□木卫二

- the redux version is 93 minutes, shorter than early editions;
